If so, look at the texts and make sure they aren't antiquated, boring and inappropriate for teaching English.
- Are you supposed to develop the curriculum?
- Where will you be housed?
- Are you responsible for any utilities?
- Is there hot running water?
- Do you have heating/air conditioning?
- How close are you to the school where you'll be teaching?
- Do you have to share your apartment?
- How many rooms does it have?
- Is it on campus?
- Is there a washing machine?
- Ask for a photo of the living arrangements!
- Is there a computer with internet access?
- Do you have to pay for the internet services?

- How many days do you have off for vacations?
- Can the school issue you a Letter of Intent to take to the Chinese Consulate in your area of the United States?
- What are the terms of getting a work visa?

Do A LOT of research! Don't only get references from former teachers who have returned to the U.S., but look up the information on the web relating to the school you are interested in.
